Vice President Institutional Sales - Midwest Region

Driehaus Capital Management is a privately-held investment management firm that manages global, emerging markets, US growth equity and alternative investment strategies. The firm has a diverse institutional client base comprised of corporate and public pensions, endowments, foundations, sub-advisory, family offices, wealth managers and financial advisors, globally.  

We are seeking a Vice President Institutional Sales - Midwest Region with 10+ years of experience in the institutional and RIA channels.  Primary responsibilities include:

  • Directly responsible for meeting individual sales goals within the Midwest region.
  • Negotiates sales agreements and business terms with clients, with input and final approval from manager.
  • Coordinates marketing efforts of equity and multi-asset alternative investment products to prospective institutional clients through meetings, presentations, phone calls and mailing correspondence.
  • Maintains, enhances and services relationships with pension/asset consulting firms, RIAs, MFOs, SFOs, Platforms, Sub Advisory, and/or institutional prospects on a continuous basis through meetings and discussions regarding investment strategy, market developments, and current firm events.
  • Works with internal departments and investment teams to increase the quality of communication with potential clients.


  • Education: Bachelor’s degree is required. FINRA Licenses 7 and 63 are required. MBA or CFA is a plus.
  • Strong Technical Acumen: Comprehensive knowledge of sales and marketing, business development, client relations, account management, investment products and services. Deep and broad experience in equity investment asset classes and vehicles including mutual funds, separate accounts, commingled account funds, and the fundamentals of investment strategy and asset allocation.                 
  • Results Driven:  Must maintain a focus that is based on accomplishments and driven by bottom line results rather than activities.
  • Excellent Communicator:  Must be a strong presenter, as both a product technical expert and in the value added areas of investment strategy.
  • Track Record of Success:  Proven sales and marketing professional in the institutional marketplace with strong consultant relations, and experienced in driving and managing senior client relations.
  • Highest Level of Integrity:  Actively participates in ensuring a strong compliance culture within the sales, marketing and relationship management team.
